Welcome to

Using a challenge experience to learn skills

rise_shine_debating_youth_teens_Perth
I dedicate the Rise & Shine initiative to all Junior school teacher's everywhere

They do a challenging job.  I offer this idea to make their own by using a debating challenge to inspire and bring out the best in ALL their students.

Even a classroom challenge for 1 term can really stimulate fresh energy. I’ve watched this happen again and again for 14 years.

A challenge experience is a unique opportunity to learn by doing. It models what the future is like.

Being challenged calls forth new things in a student and with support, anyone can make big steps in their performance

Believe your students can do this and they will. (At their level) Just meeting a challenge like this is scary/exciting. It builds belief in themselves. It increases engagement in learning.
